*locked to Anika*

Ain't sure what had me callin' Anika, couple days after that fight downtown. Hell, I was still nursin' several injuries from that night. Didn' even remember half o' what happened. Left th' Fae an' their caern long b'fore th' healers woulda liked. Whatever. I could still walk, so I wasn' about t' sit around like some kinda fish in a bowl. Heck with that. Ain't seen th' ocean in a couple days an' I was longin' t' feel water 'round me again. Spend time with someone I can trust, ya know?

Picked up some lunch, some kinda chicken, I dunno. Parked th' bike off a beach that shoulda been crowded as hell. Wasn' anyone in sight. Between th' vampires an' the very prominent signs scattered up an' down th' beach, there wasn' anyone around. Had t' laugh at those signs. "Sharks No Swimming". Guess I'd been spotted by someone earlier. Oops. Beach shouldn' be too far from Anika. Had enough lunch for th' two of us, too. Called her up.

"Hey, Anika, darlin'. You free for a couple hours? Ain't nobody at this beach. Brought some lunch, too. Could use some company for a little while."
